From the victim's side, the impact the victim feels is a feeling of trauma, depression, and sensitivity. This study found that imitation was the main trigger for perpetrators to commit sexual harassment. The data were analyzed by the N-Vivo application for data processing, management, ideas, queries, visualization, and reporting. The data collection used a study of documents collected from trial facts in the Directory of Supreme Court Decisions. This study used a descriptive qualitative method, with 17 subjects aged 0–18. The purpose of this study was to explore the occurrence of sexual violence towards boys, such as the dynamics of the perpetrators and victims, the motivation of the perpetrators to commit sexual violence, and the impact of sexual violence on victims. In society, there is still a lot of skepticism and stigma about whether boys can be perpetrators or victims of sexual harassment. There are still few studies on sexual harassment toward boys. The methods outlined in this paper may help direct future applications of qualitative and mixed methods within large cohort studies. Specifically, this method includes: 1) a hierarchical system of coding through content analysis 2) a qualitative data management application and 3) an adaptation of Cohen's kappa and percent agreement statistics for use by a team of coders, applying multiple codes per record from a large codebook. Here, we describe a novel method of applying qualitative research methods to free-text comments collected in a large epidemiologic questionnaire.

However, methods for the conduct of qualitative research within large samples are underdeveloped. Usually reserved for small samples, qualitative research techniques have the potential to enhance insights gained from large questionnaires and cohort studies, both deepening the interpretation of quantitative data and generating novel hypotheses that might otherwise be missed by standard approaches this is especially true where exposures and outcomes are new, understudied, or rapidly changing, as in a pandemic. Qualitative research methods, while rising in popularity, are still a relatively underutilized tool in public health research.
